This Starbucks is located within the Plaza de Armas, on the second storey. Because Starbucks is a large multinational corporation that pretty much standardized all their locations, there isn't much difference between the stores here versus the ones in North America.
The prices are comparable to North America, which pretty means that only ex-pats or tourists would be able to afford a drink at this place. You won't find any locals here.
Summary
- Bottom Line: Nice place to get a coffee if you have a craving, but I would opt to go authentic and go for Peruvian cuisine.
- Score: 7.7/10
- 4/5 for food
- 2.5/5 for value
- 2/2 for seating environment
- 2/2 for service
- 1/1 for hitting the spot
I am in Cusco today and I was pretty shocked to find Subway, KFC, MacDonald and Starbucks here. Indeed, high prices suggest it's mostly for foreign tourists. Why do people feel the need to buy a Frappuccino when traveling to Machu Picchu ? Sad.
